What should I replace the stock AMD CPU fan with?
I have an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T CPU and the noise generated by the fan is driving me crazy. What kind of replacement should I get?
Are there different sizes of CPU fans?
quick simple answer: the best you can afford/in your price range.
thats one monster processor, so it'll be worth investing something of decent to High Quality. make sure to get one from a trusted brand like zalman, cooler master, thermaltake, etc. i would recommend spending at least US$30-40, so look on newegg.com in that range. pick a couple that look interesting to you, then google reviews on them to narrow it down to the one you want.
