A Sure-Fire Way to Increase Page Rank
Advertising your site, to get free traffic, is often more challenging than building it, but it's at least as significant. If you don't spend the time and energy to promote your site properly you won't obtain anybody to go to see it, and if nobody comes to your site then you can't make any money. Hence promoting is an absolute need.
But promoting can appear enormously overwhelming, there are hundreds of websites out there that guarantee this and guarantee that, but you can't know for sure what you're getting until you pay them. I don't like this tactic to promoting, usually they are just rehashing the same information that's already all over the internet and all you do is squander your cash. Hence be cautious of what you pay for.
So what are good marketing techniques? Well, there are many ways to accomplish what you need, from on-site SEO (Search Engine Optimization) where you optimize on page items such as keyword density, text, etc... to various off-site SEO methods. Off-site SEO is getting your site seen on other websites, receiving quality inbound, chiefly one-way, links to improve your rankings and more. Here I will talk about just one of those techniques of off-site promoting, a method of receiving one way links to your site.
Everybody is in agreement that the more backlinks you have to your site the further up the search engines it will move, the search engines like Google see these backlinks as a symbol that your site is trusted by them (linking to blackhat sites, link farms or other 'spam' sites will impair your ranking as a result people are careful not to do it). Hence that takes us to the matter of how to obtain these one way links.
One method to get backlinks is by means of spam software, this software will spam simple responses to every blog it can locate on the internet and put a one way link to your site. This is an awful way to get links and if you run a blog you may find yourself at the receiving end of hundreds of spam comments from software of this nature. Don't do it.
An alternative method, and this is a respectable one, is called article marketing, which many of you might have used at some point. The most simple article marketing is where you write an article and put it in an article directory, the process of article submission, with your backlink somewhere in the text or in the author's box (this depends on the directory). This works but is incredibly unproductive.
An updated manner to do this is through the use of a service that will either put your articles on hundreds of directory sites or to put them on a system of blogs that are looking for free content. And in accordance with the rules when your article is put on any of these sites you get one way links back to your site. To avoid duplicate content issues you do what's referred to as spinning it, this means that you write it in such a way that their software can form dozens of unique versions of the same piece of writing.
